Nice Stems...

I have finally got around to reviewing the OPI Nice Stems collection and it is sooo worth getting your hands on!  I'm not really a pink girl but I do love a good hot pink now and then and Nice Stems delivers.  This collection contains four polishes (pictured in order): I Lily Love You, Be a Dahlia Won't You, Come to Poppy, and Play the Peonies.

First up is I Lily Love You, this lacquer is a confetti explosion of glittery goodness.  It consists of micro-glitter, square iridescent pieces, and large iridescent flecks suspended in a blue based hot pink sheer jelly-like base.  This lacquer really can't stand up on its own (unless you like a super sheer coat of glitter) and works best atop other colors.  I see endless possibilities for layering!  Three coats were used and while the glitter build up is awesome the nail line is still visible.  This glitter does feel a little rough and requires a top coat.

Come to Poppy is a pearly coral based pink with a hint of shimmer.  This lacquer has excellent coverage and is opaque in one coat!  I used two in order to smooth out any possible brush strokes, even though I couldn't see any.  This happens to be my second favorite shade from this collection and is a must have for everyone at every age.

Be a Dahlia Won't You is the shining star of this collection in my opinion!  Its a hot pink shimmer with a hint of foil.  I can't stop looking at it!  This lacquer is not as opaque as Come to Poppy but the extra effort will be worth it, I promise!  It takes three coats to reach perfection.  I thought this color may be similar to OPI Wing It but as you can see Wing It has more orange to it.

Last up is Play the Peonies, this lacquer is a baby soft pink with a pronounced pearl sheen.  This is more of a white based pink with good coverage.  I had a hard time photographing this one, not because of the polish but because I couldn't get the camera to focus correctly.  I have to say this is my least favorite shade from this collection but I am biased because baby pink is not my thing.  Three coats were used in order to cover the nail line.  Also I apologize for my sad scabbed cuticle, I don't recommend trimming them with ornery kittens running around to distract you!!
