OPI Happy Anniversary and NOPI You're a Star are exact dupes in every way. Although, the Nicole bottle appears to be a denser formula in the picture below, I assure you its just the weird angle I had the bottle in.
These are fabulous silvery white shimmers that can build up opacity on their own. They even work well as a top coat with one thin coat. If that isn't fab enough, they work excellent as a base for glitters!! Below I used one coat of each.
Now for the fun part!! I have noticed some disappointment out there regarding OPI Last Friday Night from the Katy Perry Collection. Made up of iridescent and opalescent glitter suspended in a blue base, this lacquer looks amazing in the bottle but on the nail its super sheer and not nearly as blue. Even though this glitter works great as a top coat it can be worn as a main staple. Layering a white lacquer under Last Friday Night could help but over OPI Happy Anniversary or NOPI You're a Star this super festive glitter comes alive!!
After using one coat of OPI Happy Anniversary or NOPI You're a Star I used three thin coats of OPI Last Friday Night. Application for this glitter is smooth but it does dry a little slower than some and if you add your next coat too soon it can get gooey. I love that this glitter has opalescent and iridescent glitter pieces, it's what I imagine Cinderella's dress would look like!!
Do you think this is too much sparkle? Would you wear this to work or school? How about for a special occasion?
Disclosure: This lacquer was purchased by The Lacquer Factor.
