It's the Mani(c) Monday readers pick feature from October. I know it was forever ago when the poll was last up and for that I apologize!! Hopefully this post will make up for it. Anyways, OPI Animal-istic and OPI Pepe's Purple Passion tied so you get to see both.
Animal-istic is a orange based red with coral undertones and it's packed full of golden shimmer. Depending on what angle you look at this lacquer it can appear more red or more coral. In this picture I caught the more coral tones. Coverage for this shade was perfectly opaque in two coats.
Pepe's Purple Passion is a red based purple creme with flakes that flash gold and pink. It sounds prettier than it looks. I found this formula to be gloppy and hard to work with. It also feels gritty and looks matte (in a bad way) after it dries. I really wanted to like this lacquer but I just can't. For the zoomed picture below, I purposely overexposed t so you could see the gritty texture.
Disclosure: This lacquer was purchased by The Lacquer Factor.
