Gold Dust Woman...

I have something special to share with you for Mani(c) Monday!!  I stared this simple mani off with three coats of OPI Samoan Sand.  This creamy neutral is one of my classic favorites!  Here's where the magic really happens, Sephora By OPI It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat.  That's right, real gold flakes in a top coat!  It's a splurge at $30 a bottle but everyone deserves a little decadence!

$OPI It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat contains real gold flakes that are very fine in texture and suspended in a clear base.  The flakes themselves are slightly matte  but dry smooth and the clear base dries shiny.  Removal is nothing like glitter, it melts off as easily as a creme lacquer.  Normally I would show you this top coat over a contrasting shade but I really wanted you to see how much it stands out even when combined with a similarly toned shade.  It will get you noticed!  $OPI It's Real 18k Gold Top Coat comes in an equally interesting package, clad in shiny gold (the gold on the box isn't real 18k)!  Would you splurge or pass?

It would look even more amazing with a contrasting colour!!

  2. Hmm...it's a cool concept and I like that it's easier to remove than a regular glitter polish, but I don't think I could justify spending so much on it :/

  3. both your manis look gorgeous! i've been rocking plenty of obnoxious summer nails lately, so it's a nice change (: hmm for some reason i expected the gold flakies to be larger and more dense. that's a looot for a polish, i think i'd have to pass haha (:

  6. The gold top coat looks amazing against the base color you chose! And it's easy to remove! Gosh, wish the price wasn't so high, but I still might be tempted to get it! ;)

  7. Have you tried the gold dust over other colored polishes? I'd love to see an example where it is shown as a contrast color :) $30 is too much for me to experiment on my own! :D
