M-o-u-s-e...

Happy fourth of July to those of you in the U.S.A.!  I know you were probably expecting to see a red, white, and blue mani but I don't have one to share.  I'm sorry.  I'm not feeling very inspired, instead I've been thinking of ways to "celebrate" The Lacquer Factor one year anniversary.  So for today I have half of the OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse collection to share.

Click "Read More" for swatches and review...

Red is not my favorite color family, so with that being said I only purchased half of this collection.  OPI I'm All Ears is a bright pink lacquer packed full of shimmer that flashes blue and purple.  The finish on this is a borderline jelly.  Three coats were needed to reach opacity.  I also purchased OPI Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It from this collection and decided to layer it over I'm All EarsNothin' Mousie 'Bout It is a pink heart shaped glitter in a clear base with purple and gold shimmer.  Shape glitter can be tricky and frustrating to apply but the added shimmer made this lacquer worth it to me.  In order to get the hearts out, I turned the bottle upside down for a few minutes.  This caused the shapes to fall to the top and attach to the brush when I turned it right side up.

  1. The shimmer in the hearts one is so pretty I forgive it for being kind of a pain to work with. :)

  4. I decided to only get the glitter, but I´m having such a hard time making it look good. It looks pretty in the bottle but when on I´m not the biggest fan, you can see it on my toes on my newest blog post

  16. Ya know, I kinda like I'm All Ears! It looks like a lighter version of china glaze raspberry festival to me, or at least according to your swatches. Your photos bring out the texture in the polish, just so pretty!

    1. I don't own CG Raspberry Festival to compare. According to swatches I've seen around you are right, it seems like a lighter version :)
