Magnetix II...

Are you a fan of magnetic lacquers?  If so, China Glaze Magnetix II is for you!!  This collection is made up of six new magnetic shades and a sold separately magnet with three new designs.  The magnet is is the real show stopper of the collection.  The designs are fun and unlike other magnets out there.  "Read More" to enjoy the rest of the review!

First, let's talk about the magnet.  The magnet has three designs: bulls-eye, stripes, and a checkerboard.  Exactly like the magnet from the first Magnetix collection this magnet has a cuticle rest on the underside.  The strength of the magnet is good but unless you have flat nails its nearly impossible to get a full design to appear.

Second, on to the lacquer.  Out of the six shades in this collection I only picked up two, Gold Fusion and Get Charged.  The colors in this collection are easy dupes of similar magnetic shades from other brands.  Application wise these are pretty good and one coat could be used.  As a personal preference two were used.  When using the magnet the design appears quickly, however as stated above, unless your nail is flat its nearly impossible to get a full design.  What do you think about magnetic lacquers?

  1. Magnetic polishes are a trend I find easy to resist. I just don't think it's very pretty most of the times!
The spiral on this gold polish however is really fun. How much does the magnet cost?

    1. The magnet is around $5 and can be used with other brands of nail lacquer.

  2. Your magnetic designs turned out great. I especially like the bulls eye design against the gold one. For me personally, I have only tried magnetic polishes a few times and the design never comes out clearly lol. :-)

  4. These new magnetic lacquers are so cool, but as you say, it is hard to get the pattern even. The magnet you get though is really cool!
